According to UPV professor and event organizer José Millet this university hackathon aims to motivate and inspire students from all academic backgrounds, as well as individuals with a passion for innovation in health, wellness, and entrepreneurship.

On May 2nd and 3rd, participants will tackle real-world health and wellness challenges focused on Urban Health, supported by training modules designed to guide them through the problem-solving process. Whether it’s generating ideas, receiving expert training, or delivering powerful presentations, this event is built to ignite your creativity and sharpen your skills in health and wellness.

For 30 continuous hours, creativity, collaboration, and hands-on learning will come together to spark innovative solutions, all with the support of seasoned experts in technology, entrepreneurship, and innovation.

This free event will be hosted at Campus Gandia UPV

As a new feature this year, the CRAI Library at Campus Gandia is collaborating by providing participants with curated information resources in dossier format to support their documentation and response to the Urban Health challenge. The dossier will feature direct links to electronic databases, recommended web resources, open-access datasets, and related undergraduate and master’s theses (TFGs/TFMs). These resources will also be available on the BIBCRAI Gandia blog at  (https://bibcraigandia.blogs.upv.es).

Immerse yourself in a vibrant atmosphere with music, fun activities, practical training, and relaxation zones, making for two truly unique days. There will also be numerous prizes and gifts awaiting all participants, adding an extra layer of excitement and reward to the experience.

Taking part in the Campus Salud Gandia offers you the chance to join a dedicated network of professionals and companies united in their mission to enhance healthcare.

In 2024, the second edition attracted 122 participants, including primarily undergraduate and double-degree students, as well as master’s students, doctoral candidates, and those pursuing advanced degrees. 66 participants successfully completed the various stages of the Hackathon. Among the participating universities, approximately 70% were affiliated with UPV (with representation from all three campuses: Vera, Gandia, and Alcoi), while over 14% hailed from other universities, such as University Carlos III of Madrid.

The Safor Salut program, supported by IVACE+i Innovation and the European Union through the ERDF, is playing an active role in both the planning and execution of the hackathon.

Embark on this unique journey and be part of the transformation in healthcare!

Spread the word and inspire others to join in! See you in Gandia!
