IVIO Chair Award for Best Bachelor or Master Thesis

The IVIO-UPV Chair is calling for entries for the Best Bachelor or Master Thesis (TFG/TFM) Award 2016-2017 in the field of Dental Engineering. A single prize of €500 will be awarded. The period for the submission of applications will remain open until October.

The Chair continues to work actively in the promotion and training in the field of technologies applied to dentistry. Proof of this is the recently created Award that will go to the Best Bachelor or Master Thesis presented in the 2016-2017 academic term by students from any University in Spain. Students from different degrees can apply as long as the thesis subject falls within the scope of technologies applied to the field of dentistry. According to Paco Camarena, director of the Chair, the aim of this award is its “consolidation as a national award as well as to publicize and promote the Chair’s activities in the field of dentistry.”

Those interested may present their applications in person or online through the dedicated page on the IVIO-UPV Chair website. Applications must be accompanied by information in digital format on the TFG/TFM.

The selection jury will be composed of the IVIO-UPVChair committee formed by representatives of the Valencian Institute of Dental Research, and professors and researchers from the UPV. They will evaluate the innovative nature of the work, the writing, the methodology, the development and the presentation of the thesis, as well as the student’s overall academic record.

A single prize will be awarded consisting of a €500 travel grant to participate in a conference, symposium or seminar in the same field, where the results of the TFG/TFM will be presented.

RENEWED COMMITMENT

In the upcoming days, the IVIO-UPV Chair agreement will be renewed once again. Joan Faus, doctor and director of IVIO, considers this news to be “very positive for the continuity of the activities carried out thus far and that will allow the consolidation of the collaboration agreement in the field of dentistry between the UPV-Campus of Gandia and The IVIO.”
