Countdown to the 49th Meeting of the Center for Odonto-Stomatological Studies of Valencia

July 1st and 2nd will see the celebration of the forty-ninth edition of the Meeting of the Center for Odonto-stomatological Studies of Valencia, organized by the IVIO-UPV Chair of Campus Gandia alongside other institutions. At this meeting, dentists from Valencia will have to opportunity to attend interesting conferences with presentations given by leading professionals in the sector, as well as enjoy the touristic, monumental and gastronomic wealth that Gandia has to offer.

Under the title “A Multidisciplinary Vision of Aesthetic Dentistry”, the edition aims to highlight the need for joint work between different specialties in the field of aesthetic dentistry. This perspective is made apparent in the line up of speakers, mainly rehabilitators, conservatives or prosthetists, who will speak alongside orthodontists and implantologists to offer visitors a comprehensive vision.

The active presence of the IVIO-UPV Chair in these conferences is essential for it to take place on Campus Gandia, inasmuch as since its foundation, it has been strongly committed to shedding a spotlight on this academic institution as a leader in the research and teaching field within the sector. In the words of Joan Faus, director of IVIO and president of the organizing committee of the conference, “We’ve spent months putting together an event that will attract hundreds of conferencees to our Campus to listen to a team of top-level speakers, and this makes us proud and encourages us to keep working hard to position our institutions as leaders in the field of dental education.”

After it was suspended a year ago due to the Covid pandemic, the Meeting of the Center for Odonto-Stomatological Studies returns with a strict anti-Covid protocol to guarantee the full safety of the event. Thanks to the fine climate of the capital city of the Borgia Dukes, the open spaces of the UPV Campus will be used. Events such as the commercial exhibition and catering will take place in the university’s cloister and gardens.

Professionals and undergraduate or graduate students interested in attending should fill out the registration form hosted on their website by June 25th (limited places). All attendees will have the opportunity to sign up for the closing dinner of the 49th Annual Meeting.

Awards for the Best Scientific and Clinical Presentations, for the Best Poster Presentations and the Best Photographs

In the context of the promotion and stimulation of academic research, the 49th Meeting of the Center for Odonto-Stomatological Studies has once more held a call for awards divided into different categories: Oral Presentation (Vázquez Malboysson Award), Poster Format Presentation (Vicente Castañer Award) and Clinical or Artistic Photography (Federico Carbonell Award).

A jury made up of renowned professors from the five universities that collaborate in the conference (Universitat Politècnica de València, University of Valencia, CEU-Cardenal Herrera University, Catholic University of Valencia and European University of Valencia) will evaluate the papers presented. Winning one of the awards is an important recognition of the research work carried out and adds incomparable prestige to the CV of any dental professional.

The papers must be sent in by June 4th via the designated email address. Information regarding the rules and the presentation process is available on the conference website.
