Campus Salud Gandia 2024

To attract multidisciplinary talent in the health sector, the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) is collaborating with the Gandia City Council to host the II Edition of Campus Salud Gandia (Gandia Health Campus).

It’s a university hackathon designed to motivate and inspire students from any discipline and university, along with anyone keen on innovation in health, well-being, and entrepreneurship,” said José Millet,t, professor at UPV and organizer of the hackathon.

The event was introduced at the Campus Gandia  orum by Jesús Alba, Director at Campus Gandia, alongside José Pelegrí, Secretary at Campus Gandia, Jose Manuel Prieto, Mayor of Gandia, José Millet, the event’s organizer within the framework of EIT Health, and Pilar Sánchez and Amparo Estruch from Safor Salut-Campus Gandia.

Guided by top specialists in ChatGPT, AI animation, no-Code technology, creativity, innovation, and business models, you’ll embark on an exciting journey of problem-solving and skill development. There will also be numerous prizes and gifts awaiting all participants, adding an extra layer of excitement and reward to the experience.

Hospital U. Francesc de Borja de Gandia plays a pivotal role in the preparation and execution of the hackathon. They contribute by shaping challenges, compiling essential documentation, and providing crucial data for the competition..

In the inaugural edition, we welcomed 114 participants, primarily consisting of undergraduate and double degree students, alongside individuals pursuing master’s degrees, doctorates, and other advanced education pathways. 62 of them moved through the different stages of the Hackathon. Among the participating universities, approximately 60% were affiliated with UPV (with representation from all three campuses: Vera, Gandia, and Alcoi), while over 21% hailed from Carlos III University of Madrid.
