Mario Montagud<\/strong><\/a>, postdoctoral researcher at the Campus Gandia UPV<\/strong> (Immersive and Interactive Media Group, IIM)<\/a>, has recently been named Communication Ambassador and Communication Editor of ACM SIGCHI (Special Interest Group on Computer-Human Interaction) and Communication Editor of ACM SIGMM (Interest Group on Multimedia Records).<\/p>\n

ACM (Association for Computing Machinery<\/a>) is the most important educational, professional and scientific association in the world, with more than 100,000 members with an interest in Computer-Human Interaction (HCI)<\/strong>. Among other things, it provides resources and news of interest, educational services, oversees scientific journals, organizes conferences and awards prizes.<\/p>\n

ACM is structured in territorial delegations and interest groups or communities.<\/p>\n

Additionally, ACM SIGCHI<\/a> is the premier international society focusing on human-technology interaction<\/strong>. It recently chose approximately twenty members to serve as Communication Ambassadors, including Mario Montagud, the sole ambassador from Spain<\/strong>. Among other things, this initiative seeks to strengthen ties between territorial delegations and the international community, as well as to foster the mission and inform about relevant news, contributions and events. Moreover, ACM SIGMM is the most relevant community for multimedia technologies and applications.<\/p>\n
