These are some of the chief measures:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Recruitment of a senior research technician in <a href=\"https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/en\/2016\/10\/the-ivio-upv-chair-places-high-stakes-bet-on-ultrasound-in-oral-implantology\/\" target=\"_blank\">ultrasound<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-5528 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/intervencio\u0301n2-413x250.jpg\" width=\"413\" height=\"250\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/intervencio\u0301n2-413x250.jpg 413w, https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/intervencio\u0301n2-768x465.jpg 768w, https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/intervencio\u0301n2-825x500.jpg 825w, https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/intervencio\u0301n2-150x91.jpg 150w, https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/intervencio\u0301n2.jpg 1109w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 413px) 100vw, 413px\" \/>The application of <strong>ultrasound to oral implantology<\/strong> will be one of the cornerstones of the IVIO-UPV Chair, hence the purpose of this recruitment. This technology has not been traditionally used in this field due to the difficulties inherent in the physical properties of the ultrasonic waves, since they\u00a0 have difficulty propagating through bone structure. However, recent advances in ultrasonic devices, including its use for the assessment of bone disease, signal major development in the coming years.\u00a0 The person recruited for this position will begin work at Campus Gandia at the end of January 2017.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Recruitment of a junior research technician in <a href=\"https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/en\/2016\/12\/virtual-reality-and-3d-in-the-dental-clinic-of-the-future\/\" target=\"_blank\">Virtual Reality Systems<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-5529 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/20161129_105635-444x250.jpg\" width=\"444\" height=\"250\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/20161129_105635-444x250.jpg 444w, https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/20161129_105635-768x432.jpg 768w, https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/20161129_105635-889x500.jpg 889w, https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/20161129_105635-150x84.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 444px) 100vw, 444px\" \/>Imagine an environment in which two or more dentists located in different geographical points, can interact and collaborate in a virtual oral scenario in 3D.\u00a0 The purpose of this recruitment is to further another line of activity of the chair, namely <strong>&#8220;Virtual Reality (VR) and Multisensory Systems&#8221;<\/strong>. A prototype VR application will be created to improve the user experience in their visit to the dentist, as well as an evaluation of the improvements achieved in the quality of the user\/customer experience because of its use. The person recruited for this position will begin work at Campus Gandia at the beginning of February 2017.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Two Teaching Assistant (TAs) Grants at Campus Gandia<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The purpose of this grant is for students to acquire teaching-related experience in the IVIO-UPV Chair and to become familiar with the various technical laboratory devices.\u00a0One student will be chosen from the Undergraduate Department of Telecommunications Engineering, Sound and Image, and the other from the Master&#8217;s Program in Acoustic Engineering.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>I IVIO Chair Prize for Best Bachelor or Master Thesis (TFG\/TFM, for the Spanish initials)<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-5541\" src=\"https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/simulacio\u0301n-implante-435x500.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"345\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/simulacio\u0301n-implante-435x500.jpg 435w, https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/simulacio\u0301n-implante-217x250.jpg 217w, https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/simulacio\u0301n-implante-130x150.jpg 130w, https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/simulacio\u0301n-implante.jpg 471w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>The <strong>first IVIO Chair Priz<\/strong>e will be awarded to the best TFG\/TFM of the 2016-2017 term from in any Spanish university, that relates to Dental Technology &amp; Dentistry Advances. The purpose of this prize is advance students\u2019 work in this field, as well as publish the result of their findings. To this end, a 500-euro prize will be awarded to the best thesis, to be used to present the findings at a national conference relating to the field of technology applied.<\/p>\n<p>All the information
