They are no longer just spaces where knowledge is transmitted, but places where people experiment, debate, and\u00a0take action. A revealing example of this evolution can be found in the work of Sandra Martorell and M. Rosario\u00a0S\u00e1ez-Salvador, who have explored how\u00a0<strong>performance\u00a0<\/strong>can become a powerful tool for educating, raising awareness, and promoting social change from within the university.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Their proposal is based on a simple but profoundly transformative idea:&nbsp;<strong>art is not only&nbsp;taught,&nbsp;it&nbsp;is also lived.<\/strong>&nbsp;And when that experience is directed towards social problems\u2014in this case, gender-based violence\u2014the educational effect goes far beyond theory.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Artivism:&nbsp;when&nbsp;art&nbsp;takes&nbsp;to&nbsp;the&nbsp;streets&nbsp;to&nbsp;raise&nbsp;awareness<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Artivism, the fusion of art and activism, is not new, but it has gained renewed strength in the last decade. It is not just about creating a performance, but about collectively understanding:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 what forms of violence women suffer,&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 how they are culturally reproduced,&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 and how art can&nbsp;open up&nbsp;spaces to denounce and rethink them.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;methodology\u2014Arts-Based Research\u2014turns the classroom into a collective laboratory where feminist theory, design, and creativity come together.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The result: artistic actions in public spaces on November 25 that challenge those who&nbsp;observe&nbsp;them, but&nbsp;above all have&nbsp;an impact on those who perform them.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Five performances&nbsp;to&nbsp;open&nbsp;our&nbsp;eyes<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Among the actions carried out, the following stand out:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u2022&nbsp;The&nbsp;Tunnel&nbsp;of&nbsp;Violence<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An immersive installation where the audience walks through a corridor filled with sexist messages, to feel firsthand the discomfort that women experience&nbsp;on a daily basis.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u2022&nbsp;REDise\u00f1\u00e1ndonos&nbsp;(Redesigning&nbsp;ourselves)<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A photographic mosaic that composes a new collective female face, accompanied by a haka-style performance celebrating the strength and resilience of women.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u2022 1027<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A bride locked in an urn: each garment or inscription on her dress names a woman murdered that year.
