On November 6<\/strong>, a key event for the future of Spain\u2019s blue economy took place: the first official meeting of the Spanish Network of Knowledge Spaces for the Blue Economy (REECEA)<\/strong>. This initiative, led by the General Secretariat for Fisheries<\/strong> of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, marks the beginning of a collaborative space designed to connect science, innovation, and tradition around the sea. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Universitat Polit\u00e8cnica de Val\u00e8ncia<\/strong> was represented by Professor Miguel Jover Cerd\u00e0<\/strong>, who contributed academic and technological insight to the discussions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

An Open Network Aimed at Transforming the Sector<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The REECEA presents itself as an open, participatory, and inclusive community<\/strong>, welcoming all entities and organizations connected to the blue economy. Its mission is clear: to strengthen knowledge, innovation, and sustainability<\/strong> within a sector that plays a crucial role in Spain\u2019s social and economic structure. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the meeting, the General Secretary for Fisheries and president of the network, Isabel Artime<\/strong>, highlighted a central idea: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThere is no blue economy without the fisheries and aquaculture sector, which is its driving force and the foundation of its transformation.\u201d<\/em> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Artime, the REECEA aims to be a meeting point where science, innovation, and tradition<\/strong> work hand in hand \u201cfor a more sustainable, competitive, and fair sea.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n
