Why do universities have a responsibility to share their knowledge with society? <strong>The goal of scientific dissemination is to make science accessible to the general public<\/strong> and it is based both on the <strong>responsibility of scientists <\/strong>to account for <strong>their work t<\/strong>o society and the need for society to <strong>have access to scientific knowledge<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>For this reason, <strong>Campus Gandia<\/strong> has been carrying out different actions year after year <strong>aimed at disseminating and popularizing science<\/strong> in many different areas. Among the events, conferences and seminars organized we can highlight:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.congresodeacuicultura.es\/ediciones-anteriores\/\" target=\"_blank\">X National Aquaculture Conference<\/a><\/span> (2005)<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.congresodeacuicultura.es\/ediciones-anteriores\/\" target=\"_blank\">37th Tecniac\u00fastica-Spanish Society of Acoustics <\/a><\/span>(2006)<\/li>\n<li>Conferences on environmental acoustics and acoustically sustainable building (2008-10)<\/li>\n<li>International conference on management tools for Mediterranean wetlands (2009)<\/li>\n<li>International conference on European projects, tourism and new technologies (2011)<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.upv.es\/contenidos\/CIEN13\/\" target=\"_blank\">Science Week <\/a><\/span>(since 2005)<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.comunica2gandia.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Comunica2.0 Conference <\/a><\/span>(since 2010)<\/li>\n<li>Science exhibitions (<a title=\"Cronolog\u00eda Fotciencia\" href=\"https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/es\/cronologia\/#17\" target=\"_blank\">Fotciencia10<\/a>, <a title=\"Cronolog\u00eda La mar de ci\u00e8ncies\" href=\"https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/es\/cronologia\/#16\" target=\"_blank\">La mar de ci\u00e8ncies<\/a>, I<a href=\"https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/es\/cronologia\/#18\" target=\"_blank\">nvisible Female Scientists)<\/a><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">#<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=K0QbXm6YZ04\" target=\"_blank\">campusandtweets<\/a><\/span><\/li>\n<li>I Gandia Fishing Conference (2013)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/redes-sociales.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-724 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/redes-sociales-333x250.jpg\" alt=\"Redes sociales\" width=\"333\" height=\"250\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/redes-sociales-333x250.jpg 333w, https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/redes-sociales-533x400.jpg 533w, https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/redes-sociales-150x112.jpg 150w, https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/redes-sociales.jpg 800w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 333px) 100vw, 333px\" \/><\/a>Furthermore, various actions, <strong>both online and offline, to communicate the R&amp;D&amp;I <\/strong>conducted on Campus:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Communication through <a href=\"https:\/\/aplicat.upv.es\/ndp-app\/PaginaNotasUPV.xhtml\" target=\"_blank\">press releases<\/a> concerning the research activity on Campus in collaboration with Scientific Communication unit of the UPV.<\/li>\n<li>Production of specific content for Facebook and Twitter.<\/li>\n<li>Using and promoting the <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/search?f=realtime&amp;q=%23UPVGandiaCiencia&amp;src=hash\" target=\"_blank\">#UPVGandiaCiencia <\/a>hashtag<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/campusdegandiaupv\/sets\/72157632024220404\/\" target=\"_blank\">F<\/a><\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/campusdegandiaupv\/sets\/72157632024220404\/\" target=\"_blank\">lickr Research Album<\/a> that compiles the research activities of the various research structures.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/playlist?list=PLKGw2woJIOY3pBGCduLS-cfzdWdHIXQtn\" target=\"_blank\">YouTube <\/a>channel that includes a playlist of videos about research.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/playlist?list=PLKGw2woJIOY3pBGCduLS-cfzdWdHIXQtn\" target=\"_blank\">Diary of a Researcher. <\/a>This is a series of videos featuring researchers conducting their research activity on our campus.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/telegrafies.blogspot.com.es\/\" target=\"_blank\">Telegrafies<\/a> television program, with weekly news about science and innovation. With 8 seasons on the air and over 175 programs.<\/li>\n<li>Presentations and scientific papers for viewing and downloading on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.slideshare.net\/CampusGandiaUPV?utm_campaign=profiletracking&amp;utm_medium=sssite&amp;utm_source=ssslideview\" target=\"_blank\">SlideShare.<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Campus Gandia currently has over 3,000 followers on Facebook and over 2,000 on Twitter. Adem\u00e1s en su canal de Flickr hay m\u00e1s de 300 fotograf\u00edas relacionadas con la divulgaci\u00f3n de la ciencia y la investigaci\u00f3n.
