The \u201cSafor Salut<\/span><\/a><\/u><\/span>\u201d cooperation program\u2014a joint initiative of Campus Gandia at the Universitat Polit\u00e8cnica de Val\u00e8ncia<\/a> (UPV)<\/a>, the FISABIO<\/a>–Gandia Health Department<\/a>, FISABIO<\/a>–HACLE La Pedrera<\/a>, and the Safor Federation of Business Associations (FAES)<\/a>\u2014is organizing a citizen science workshop titled \u201cCo-designing Solutions for Fibromyalgia and Chronic Pain\u201d<\/strong>.\u00a0The workshop will take place in person on Wednesday, September 24, from 12:30 to 14:30<\/strong> at Campus Gandia (UPV).<\/strong><\/p>\n

This activity is designed for university researchers<\/strong>, patients and patient associations, healthcare professionals working with fibromyalgia and chronic pain, companies, public administrations, and technology institutes..<\/p>\n

Chronic pain linked to fibromyalgia is a major global healthcare challenge<\/strong>, profoundly impacting the daily lives of those affected and presenting significant difficulties for healthcare professionals.<\/p>\n

As part of Safor Salut\u2019<\/strong>s activities, a series of Citizen Science Workshops<\/strong> was held in 2025.\u00a0 These workshops focus on ways citizens can actively contribute to science\u2014through their knowledge, personal experience with the disease, understanding of the environment, or by sharing tools and resources. This will be the fourth and final session in the series.<\/p>\n

The first workshop<\/a><\/strong> focused on the needs and experiences of patients and associations throughout the course of the illness.<\/p>\n

The second workshop<\/a><\/strong> examined healthcare professionals\u2019 perspectives on diagnosis and treatment.<\/p>\n

In the third workshop,<\/strong> the Safor Salut team reviewed the key points from the first two sessions and identified the challenges to be addressed in the fourth workshop.<\/p>\n

The fourth workshop, focused on creativity and co-design, aims to collaboratively develop research and innovation projects with the participation of patients, professionals, companies, and researchers, addressing the challenges identified in the previous sessions. <\/strong><\/p>\n

This 2-hour workshop is designed to generate innovative ideas to tackle the challenges identified throughout the diagnosis and treatment of fibromyalgia and chronic pain:<\/p>\n
