This allows for better thermal cooling of the rocket, but it is a wasteful use of water. In our work we have tried to follow the same line of using water as a medium of sound attenuation, but with a more rational use of resources while maintaining its cooling properties&#8217;. To this end, we designed and manufactured a prototype injection system using water diffuser as part of the project. This creates a spray curtain that attenuates the noise generated by the source of noise emission. This way we can study the absorption of sound through three layers of suspension of gas and droplets, depending on the characteristic parameters of the injection system: pressure, flow rate and the size of the drop of water<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/-zYScoPZusI\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>One of the conclusions of this paper is that the configuration that combines two induction diffusers at the ends and a simple diffuser in the middle offered higher overall levels of attenuation of the frequencies studied. It also concluded that water pressure was one of the most decisive factors in the level of sound attenuation of the water injection system designed, and that a combination of droplet sizes and a droplet size slightly larger than the ones in simple diffusers offers better results in sound attenuation in the frequency ranges analyzed.<\/p>\n<p>More information and photos of Tecniac\u00fastica 2014 <a title=\"\u00c1lbum fotos Tecniac\u00fastica 2014\" href=\"https:\/\/plus.google.com\/photos\/118141041952640578339\/albums\/6088706248803568241?banner=pwa\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: Times;\">Review of winners in the last decade<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This prestigious award adds to those already received in past by the university community of Campus de Gandia, including teachers, scholars and contract staff. It should be noted that the Gandia Campus UPV offers a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.upv.es\/titulaciones\/MUIA\/indexc.html\" target=\"_blank\">Masters Degree Program in Acoustical Engineering<\/a> and the specialization in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.upv.es\/titulaciones\/GISTSI\/indexc.html\" target=\"_blank\">Sound &amp; Image in Telecommunications<\/a>, and is known for the quality of research being done in this field. In 2006 the Gandia Campus hosted the <a href=\"https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/cronologia\/?lang=es#7\" target=\"_blank\">2006 Tecniacustica <\/a>forum that brings together acoustic professionals specializing in technical and applied aspects. This event was organized by the Spanish Society of Acoustics (SEA) and the Gandia Campus.<\/p>\n<p>Recipients of the Andres Lara Awards at Campus Gandia:<\/p>\n<p><strong>2003-<\/strong> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.guia-activ.com\/comunidad\/noticias\/vernoticia.html?ref=13504\" target=\"_blank\">One first prize award and five honorable mentions <\/a>were granted, of which the first prize award and two honorable mentions\u00a0\u00a0 went to the Campus of Gandia. The first prize went to <a href=\"https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/2014\/07\/desmontando-columbia\/\" target=\"_blank\">Francisco Camarena<\/a> for his paper &#8220;Ultrasonic Characterization of the Evolution of the Physical Properties of the Orange Peel over Time&#8221;. Eva Escuder received an honorable mention for the &#8220;Analysis of the Influence of Fixing Conditions in the Fadiation of a Polycarbonate Surface&#8221;, and Ruben Stang another one for his paper &#8220;Measurements of Elastic Constants of Dense Wood Using Ultrasonic Methods.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>2004 &#8211;<\/strong> Honorable Mention to Eva Escuder for her paper <a href=\"https:\/\/www.icai.es\/publicaciones\/anales_get.php?id=347\" target=\"_blank\">&#8220;Acoustic Radiation of Flat Surfaces: Mechanical Impedance of Radiation.&#8221;<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>2006 &#8211;<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0<a title=\"Jornada \u2018Cient\u00edficas Invisibles\u2019\" href=\"https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/2014\/06\/jornada-cientifiques-invisibles\/\" target=\"_blank\">Romina del Rey<\/a>, Andres Lara Prize for Young Researchers for her paper <a href=\"http:\/\/dialnet.unirioja.es\/servlet\/articulo?codigo=2713406\" target=\"_blank\">&#8220;The Influence of the Characteristics of &#8216;Shear Modulus&#8217; in Transmission Losses in Laminated Glass.&#8221;<\/a> Directors: Jaime Ramis and Jesus Alba.<\/p>\n<p><strong>2010<\/strong> &#8211;<a title=\"Noticia Premio Andr\u00e9s Lara 2010\" href=\"http:\/\/www.lasprovincias.es\/v\/20101202\/safor\/estudiante-campus-silvia-adrian-20101202.html\" target=\"_blank\">Silvia Adri\u00e1n <\/a>(supervised by Francisco Camarena) for the paper entitled: &#8220;Characterization of the Acoustic Field Generated by Focused Transducers &#8220;.<\/p>\n<p><strong>2011<\/strong> &#8211;
