The \u201cSafor Salut<\/a>\u201d cooperation program, a joint initiative between Campus Gandia of the Universitat Polit\u00e8cnica de Val\u00e8ncia<\/a> (UPV<\/a>), FISABIO<\/a>\u2013Gandia Health Department<\/a>, FISABIO-<\/a>HACLE La Pedrera<\/a> and the Safor Federation of Business Associations ( FAES)<\/a>, has organized a technical visit to the company Fresmedical focusing on custom prostheses and implants.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

The 3D solutions<\/a>, Group, from its beginnings with the line started by fresdental<\/a> (custom dental implantology solutions), has gone on to develop its entire manufacturing and management systems to offer solutions in the custom prosthesis and implant market through its brand Fresmedical<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The group provides innovative solutions to medical specialists who require custom implants, thanks to its extensive experience in the use of geometry management technologies based on 3D medical imaging, computer simulation of possible solutions and prototyping, cutting guides, etc., to offer real customized implant solutions.<\/p>\n

The company took part in the pill organized by Safor Salut<\/a>. In addition, it has proposed a challenge that can be consulted on the Safor Salut website: Personalized implants<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Safor Salut is convinced that the more interaction there is between technical and research personnel, healthcare personnel and the productive sector, the more competitive the innovation ecosystem becomes in the Valencian Community, as well as the greater the number of research & development and joint innovation projects, such as the custom implant projects mentioned here.<\/p>\n

The visit to the company’s facilities was organized in this context as a way of furthering the proposed idea in cooperation with all the partners in the Safor Salut environment, with the final aim of developing an innovative project.<\/p>\n

Representatives from Fisabio, Pilar S\u00e1nchez<\/a> from the Gandia Campus along with staff from the UPV, FAES and the Gandia Hospital have actively participated in this work session. In addition, the session was also attended by staff from the Institute of Biomechanics (IBV) and the IVIO Chair<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Safor Salut<\/a> has obtained funding from the Complementary Actions Program to promote and strengthen innovation from the Valencian Innovation Agency (AVI), aimed at promoting the development of healthcare innovation projects.
