The \u201cSafor Salut<\/a>\u201d cooperation program, a joint initiative between the Campus Gandia of the Universitat Polit\u00e8cnica de Val\u00e8ncia<\/a> (UPV<\/a>), FISABIO<\/a>\u2013Gandia Health Department<\/a>, FISABIO<\/a>–HACLE La Pedrera<\/a> and the Safor Federation of Business Associations (FAES<\/a>, for its Spanish initials), has organized a co-creation lab at the Gandia Hospital to work jointly on a new project that uses hair filaments to suture wounds<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

This idea was proposed by the pediatrician and pediatric emergency coordinator Carlos Angelats, from the Francesc de Borja University Hospital in Gandia, and is available to view on the Safor Salut website: Hair-braiding closure technique for wounds<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

The aim of this lab session was to develop the idea, in cooperation with all the partners in the Safor Salut setting, with the ultimate goal of generating an innovative project.<\/p>\n

Representatives from Fisabio, Pilar S\u00e1nchez<\/a> from Campus Gandia (UPV), the Safor Federation of Business Associations (FAES), and the Pediatrics Department from Gandia Hospital have actively participated in this work meeting. In addition, we have had the participation of the Institute of Biomechanics (IBV) and the support of the consulting firm aliasgroup.<\/p>\n

INNOVATION AND HEALTHCARE CHALLENGES<\/strong><\/p>\n

The co-creation labs are especially focused on cases that require the participation of other institutions to develop and carry out ideas or challenges<\/strong>. These labs bring together people with different profiles to analyze situations, generating divergence, proposing ways to take part in the development and different possible solution that ultimately define the collaborative research or innovation project.<\/p>\n
