Campus Gandia of the Universitat Polit\u00e8cnica de Val\u00e8ncia <\/a>\u00a0(UPV)<\/a> has increased its research, development and innovation activities in 2022 as well the amount of funding received. This is the conclusion of the report on the Results of Research, Technological Development and Innovation (R&D&I) activities with external funding for the year 2022<\/a>.<\/p>\n

According to the data, the amount of funding for R&D&i in 2022 stands at approximately 8.18 million euros,<\/strong> a much higher figure than the one registered in 2021, when it reached 6.84 million euros, or the 4.78 million euros in 2020. There is an upward trend in scientific activity confirming the excellent job the Campus Gandia university community is doing.<\/p>\n

With regard to competitive R&D&i activity (public grants) in 2022, 42% come from the Generalitat Valenciana, 40% from the central Administration, 10% from the European Union and 8% from other entities.<\/p>\n

For their part, the R&D contracts and agreements signed in 2022 have been mostly involved businesses, followed by the administration and with other entities (universities, research centers, business associations and institutes).<\/p>\n

Regarding the geographical distribution of R&D contracts with business in force in 2022, 47% come from companies in the Valencian Community and 47% from the rest of Spain, which indicates an increase in research<\/strong> carried out on the Campus in its immediate socioeconomic environment<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

After over 10 years in existence, the Research Institute for Integrated Coastal Zone Management<\/a> (IGIC, 100% Campus Gandia institute) has managed to establish itself as one of the leading research structure<\/a>s of the 80 that exist in the UPV.<\/p>\n

It is made up of 62 people, grouped into 11 research groups, who work in three research areas:<\/strong><\/p>\n
