Fluyo, the first smart pantyliner designed by undergraduate and graduate students in Biomedical Engineering at the Universitat Polit\u00e8cnica de Val\u00e8ncia (UPV) is already a success. It has won first prize in the European iDays EIT Health competition<\/strong>, winning first at the UPV and later in Vienna.<\/p>\n

Fluyo consists of a pantyliner capable of detecting changes in the PH, consistency, color and odor of vaginal discharge<\/strong>. It works with a mobile app<\/strong> that uses the device camera to identify and record changes, as well as display trend graphs. With these parameters, the application informs women of any type of anomaly in terms of infections, inflammations or sexually transmitted diseases.<\/p>\n

For the creators, Coral Blanquer<\/a>, Sara P\u00e9rez<\/a>, Ekaterina Panova<\/a> and Laura Almendros<\/a>, this recognition \u201cis a catapult that will help us speed up the project and be able to carry it out. We feel extremely grateful and embraced by the university and European community, who have share our enthusiasm for the project and want to see it out on the market already.\u201d<\/p>\n
