The ZERO project arose with the aim of creating a circular textile waste recovery system<\/strong> with the involvement the principal Valencian stakeholders. With this in mind, the project is studying ways to recycle disposable hospital gowns<\/strong> when they reach the end of their life cycle with the aim of obtaining new products with high added value. The intention is to develop new plastic materials with high performance<\/strong> and lower costs of production, this way significantly reducing the environmental impact.<\/p>\n

With this strategy they expect improvements to the competitiveness and productivity of the sector thanks to an efficient consumption of resources and a reduction in waste generation, which are two fundamental pillars in a sustainable, competitive and environmentally friendly textile model<\/p>\n

Currently, this project is being carried out by the companies Aupa\u00a0Hogar<\/a> and Plastics\u00a0Casaravi<\/a>, in cooperation with Fisabio through the Hospital\u00a0Universitari Francesc de Borja de\u00a0Gandia<\/a>, with the collaboration of researchers from the Universitat Polit\u00e8cnica de Val\u00e8ncia<\/a> and the Instituto\u00a0Tecnol\u00f3gico Textil (Aitex)<\/a>.<\/p>\n
