The <strong>business perspective<\/strong> was represented by Salvador Rodrigo from the company Locatec, a company dedicated to the personalized development of computer applications, with a broad portfolio of highly developed applications, extensive experience in programming technologies adapted to new platforms and application development languages.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-16259\" src=\"https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/Foto-Locatec-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/Foto-Locatec-1.jpg 640w, https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/Foto-Locatec-1-333x250.jpg 333w, https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/Foto-Locatec-1-150x113.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Next, Antonio Mart\u00ednez, a researcher at the ITACA-SABIEN Institute of the Universitat Polit\u00e8cnica de Val\u00e8nciaa, an expert in technologies for health and well-being, analyzed healthcare apps as <strong>medical devices<\/strong>.\u00a0 He stressed that an app is considered a medical device <strong>if it is intended to be used specifically for diagnosis and\/or therapeutic purposes<\/strong>, although there is a lot of casuistry and it needs to be studied on a case-by-case basis.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-16262\" src=\"https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/Foto-Itaca-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/Foto-Itaca-1.jpg 640w, https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/Foto-Itaca-1-333x250.jpg 333w, https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/Foto-Itaca-1-150x113.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Subsequently there was a <strong>round table discussion<\/strong> titled &#8220;Reflection on the role of applications in the healthcare setting, needs and accessibility.
