The \u201cSafor Salut<\/a>\u201d cooperation program, a joint initiative between FISABIO<\/a>–Gandia Health Department<\/a>, FISABIO<\/a>–HACLE La Pedrera,<\/a> Campus Gandia Campus of the Universitat Polit\u00e8cnica de Val\u00e8ncia<\/a> (UPV<\/a>) and the Federation of Business Associations of La Safor (FAES,<\/a> for its Spanish initials), is set to hold a Bechnology Pill on key aspects in healthcare app development<\/strong> on Thursday, June 30, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.<\/strong>, in person in the Fomento building (Gandia) and online on Zoom.<\/p>\n

There are more than 165,000 health-related apps on the market, and the number is growing. These tools facilitate the control, communication and information of our health. The vast majority are devoted to wellness, diet, and exercise, and approximately 22% are devoted to illness, management, and treatment monitoring. The apps provide the opportunity to detect possible health problems early, a fact that motivates users to adopt healthier habits.<\/p>\n

Healthcare app development represents an excellent opportunity to innovate<\/strong> to improve the health of the population, as well as to reduce healthcare costs and times, and particularly in the patient association setting.<\/p>\n

In this context, the event aims to provide information to boost the creation of new collaborative research and innovation projects<\/strong> based on this technology on the part of the research staff from Campus Gandia (UPV) and the DS Gandia, Hospital de La Pedrera, businesses from la Safor and patient associations.<\/p>\n

To this effect, the conference will present the basic concepts of healthcare app development to provide better information on when it makes sense to develop proprietary apps<\/strong>, when to resort to existing apps, what aspects must be taken into account for its success, as well as main repositories.<\/p>\n
