{"id":13220,"date":"2020-11-03T18:48:40","date_gmt":"2020-11-03T17:48:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/?p=13220"},"modified":"2024-05-13T18:06:54","modified_gmt":"2024-05-13T16:06:54","slug":"safor-salut-promotes-proposals-for-innovative-rehabilitation-projects","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/en\/2020\/11\/safor-salut-promotes-proposals-for-innovative-rehabilitation-projects\/","title":{"rendered":"Safor Salut Promotes Proposals for Innovative Rehabilitation Projects"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/en\/categoria\/safor-salut-en\/\">Safor Salut<\/a>&#8221; cooperation program held its second <strong>Technology Pill with an online Zoom session dedicated to rehabilitation in the healthcare setting<\/strong>, on the morning of Tuesday, October 27th.<\/p>\n<p>The conference brought together healthcare professionals from the Gandia Health Department and La Pedrera Hospital in D\u00e9nia interested in proposing improvements in rehabilitation practices; research personnel from the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.upv.es\/contenidos\/CGANDIA\/index-en.html\">Campus Gandia (UPV)<\/a>; and businesses from the Safor with capacities to help tackle the challenges encountered in the development of solutions in this field. The ultimate objective is to <strong>provide information to promote proposals for collaborative research projects that enable the development of innovative solutions in the field of rehabilitation.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-13194\" src=\"https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/inicio-1-888x500.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"624\" height=\"351\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/inicio-1-888x500.png 888w, https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/inicio-1-444x250.png 444w, https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/inicio-1-768x433.png 768w, https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/inicio-1-150x84.png 150w, https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/inicio-1.png 1280w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 624px) 100vw, 624px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The session was structured around the rehabilitation processes, a critical aspect in the recovery of patients with different pathologies, since any improvements reduce the patient load enables more patient autonomy in less time.<\/p>\n<p>Currently, there are existing technologies that provide <strong>improved patient monitoring to help target treatments<\/strong> (sensorization); applications that reduce treatment time and increase their success (augmented reality, virtual reality, robotics, etc.); as well as the possibility of developing solutions that offer higher degrees of functionality and freedom, such as exoskeletons, technical aids, etc..<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/ww6He9pcZbE\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>During the event, expert personnel in various fields had the opportunity to expand their understanding on the pathologies that require more intensive rehabilitation processes within the healthcare system, analyzing their state of the art and the challenges faced by the medical staff.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" style=\"border: 1px solid #CCC; border-width: 1px; margin-bottom: 5px; max-width: 100%;\" src=\"\/\/www.slideshare.net\/slideshow\/embed_code\/key\/332FntOAWguWJ3\" width=\"595\" height=\"485\" frameborder=\"0\" marginwidth=\"0\" marginheight=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"> <\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Representing the Campus, <strong>Daniel Marfil<\/strong>, researcher at the <a href=\"http:\/\/iim.webs.upv.es\/index.html\">Immersive Interactive Media (IIM)<\/a>, directed by <a href=\"https:\/\/intranet.upv.es\/pls\/soalu\/sic_per.info_persona?PE=Z7a6R0gGVjWNHYxTH51ER0ir7UiUp5cTBcYBzNPQllr0i7lVQyCjFXaFOtRc0p0zYJkUgA%2Bh26CIJ7XV%2FRnh2yOXcwoal84p7tQUX3IvuDRSxIF3%2Fbxxnw%3D%3D&amp;P_IDIOMA=i&amp;P_TIPOBUS=0&amp;P_VISTA=normal\"><strong>Fernando Boronat<\/strong><\/a>, presented the <a href=\"https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/en\/2019\/04\/gandia-hospital-and-campus-gandia-of-the-upv-design-a-system-for-studying-facial-paralysis\/\">PARAFACIAL<\/a> platform, a system based on Artificial Intelligence and Artificial Vision techniques that <strong>evaluate the severity of facial paralysis and monitor the evolution<\/strong>. We&#8217;ll assist you in finding suitable partners. Additionally, you can explore the ideas submitted by others and actively participate by contributing to their implementation.<\/p>\n<p>To facilitate this objective, the technical team has announced an on-line<strong> Co-creation Workshop scheduled for November 12th<\/strong>, dedicated to developing the ideas and challenges arising from the conference and encouraging cooperation in high-impact
