This was the central theme of the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/en\/2020\/09\/artificial-intelligence-in-safor-saluts-first-technology-pill-session\/\">First Technology Pill<\/a> organized by the <a href=\"https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/en\/categoria\/safor-salut-en\/\">Safor Salut<\/a> cooperation program,<\/strong> which was held digitally on Thursday, October 1st.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" style=\"border: 1px solid #CCC; border-width: 1px; margin-bottom: 5px; max-width: 100%;\" src=\"\/\/www.slideshare.net\/slideshow\/embed_code\/key\/y4NKZkEPZALUxL\" width=\"595\" height=\"485\" frameborder=\"0\" marginwidth=\"0\" marginheight=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"> <\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The conference brought together healthcare personnel from the Gandia Health Department and Hospital la Pedrera de D\u00e9nia, research staff from the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.upv.es\/contenidos\/CGANDIA\/index-en.html\">Campus Gandia of the Universitat Polit\u00e8cnica de Val\u00e8ncia (UPV)<\/a>, and businesses from the Safor county that are interested in developing projects that implement Artificial Intelligence techniques, with the principal aim of <strong>encouraging cooperation in research and innovation between the industrial, technological and healthcare sectors for the development of new solutions surrounding the application of this technology to the healthcare field<\/strong>.<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-13039\" src=\"https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/1-presentacio\u0301n-pi\u0301ldora-ia-754x500.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"718\" height=\"476\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/1-presentacio\u0301n-pi\u0301ldora-ia-754x500.jpg 754w, https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/1-presentacio\u0301n-pi\u0301ldora-ia-377x250.jpg 377w, https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/1-presentacio\u0301n-pi\u0301ldora-ia-768x509.jpg 768w, https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/1-presentacio\u0301n-pi\u0301ldora-ia-150x99.jpg 150w, https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/1-presentacio\u0301n-pi\u0301ldora-ia.jpg 1260w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 718px) 100vw, 718px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.upv.es\/pls\/oalu\/sic_person.Info?p_alias=jon&amp;P_IDIOMA=i\">Jon Ander G\u00f3mez<\/a><\/strong>, expert in Artificial Intelligence at the UPV, was in charge of introducing the main concepts, application domains in the healthcare sector, as well challenges that Artificial Intelligence presents in the use of medical data.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-13042\" src=\"https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/jon-ander-go\u0301mez-upv-1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"703\" height=\"296\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/jon-ander-go\u0301mez-upv-1.png 1115w, https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/jon-ander-go\u0301mez-upv-1-594x250.png 594w, https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/jon-ander-go\u0301mez-upv-1-768x323.png 768w, https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/jon-ander-go\u0301mez-upv-1-150x63.png 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 703px) 100vw, 703px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Throughout the session, professionals from the three sectors presented their projects based on Artificial Intelligence techniques and <strong>shared their experiences and perspectives regarding the challenges and opportunities<\/strong> that this technology poses in its application to the medical-hospital setting.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.upv.es\/pls\/oalu\/sic_person.Info?p_alias=jtomas&amp;P_IDIOMA=c\">Jes\u00fas Tom\u00e1s<\/a><\/strong>, expert in sensors and Artificial Intelligence with medical applications from the Campus Gandia, participated in the event, where he presented the <a href=\"https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/en\/2020\/07\/intemasc-collaborate-with-the-development-of-the-app-to-detect-proper-placement-of-masks\/\">INTEMASC<\/a> app project, that uses artificial intelligence techniques based on inductive or automatic learning applied to image recognition to detect the correct placement of masks. The first of these events is a <strong>co-creation workshop<\/strong> scheduled for <strong>October 15th<\/strong>, that will be a continuation of the first session. In this workshop, the ideas extracted from the Pill will be worked on jointly between the Program partners, as well as all the interested parties, in order to<strong> generate new proposals for collaborative research and innovation projects for the development of innovative products and services<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>HIGH SCORES<\/p>\n<p>The Safor Salut 2020 program has the support of the <a
