{"id":12383,"date":"2020-06-23T19:29:31","date_gmt":"2020-06-23T17:29:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/?p=12383"},"modified":"2020-06-24T10:25:09","modified_gmt":"2020-06-24T08:25:09","slug":"polisabio-2020-more-funding-for-health-research","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/en\/2020\/06\/polisabio-2020-more-funding-for-health-research\/","title":{"rendered":"Polisabio 2020, More Funding for Health Research"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>The IV call for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.polisabio.es\/index.php\/es\/ayudas\">POLISABIO<\/a> 2020 grants, the collaboration program between the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.upv.es\/index-en.html\">Universitat Polit\u00e8cnica de Val\u00e8ncia (UPV)<\/a> and the <a href=\"http:\/\/fisabio.san.gva.es\/en\/inicio\">Foundation for the Promotion of Health and Biomedical Research of the Valencian Community (FISABIO)<\/a> is set to launch<\/strong>, with two grant subprograms to fund Joint Preparatory Actions and Innovation Projects coordinated between UPV research staff and FISABIO professionals<\/p>\n<p>Due to the obligatory social distancing measures imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic, the Monitoring Commission of the POLISABIO Program held an online meeting to agree on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.polisabio.es\/index.php\/es\/ayudas\">requirements for this call<\/a> with the aim of creating synergies between the staff from both entities that will give rise to to research and innovation projects with tremendous scientific-technical potential oriented towards innovative topics.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting was attended by <strong>Jos\u00e9 Antonio Manrique, <a href=\"https:\/\/es.linkedin.com\/in\/m%C3%B3nica-v%C3%A1zquez-moreno-44815470\">M\u00f3nica V\u00e1zquez<\/a>, Mar\u00eda Prada, <a href=\"https:\/\/es.linkedin.com\/in\/elena-carrio-argos-b283a219\">Elena Carri\u00f3<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/es.linkedin.com\/in\/amparo-arlandis-villarroya-2a799b21\">Amparo Arlandis<\/a><\/strong>, from <a href=\"http:\/\/fisabio.san.gva.es\/\"><strong>FISABIO<\/strong><\/a>; This budgetary increase corresponds to an increase in the number of preparatory action projects and innovation projects that will benefit from the grant this year. In total, the grants will fund 12 preparatory actions for \u20ac5,000 each and 4 innovation projects for \u20ac15,000. In addition, the call is extended to <strong>all the centers associated with Fisabio of the Valencian Community<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Funding is to continue for a minimum of <strong>3 preparatory actions for both the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.epsa.upv.es\/?lang=es\">Alcoi<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.upv.es\/contenidos\/CGANDIA\/index-en.html\">Gandia<\/a> campuses,<\/strong> provided that the proposals meet the minimum quality standards required.<\/p>\n<p>Applications with proposals aimed at promoting knowledge about SARS-COV2 and COVID-19 disease, as well as its socio-health impact, will be positively evaluated.<\/p>\n<p><strong>STAGES OF THE PROGRAM<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The POLISABIO 2020 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.polisabio.es\/images\/polisabio\/ayudas\/2020\/prog_colab_polisabio_2020_cast.pdf\">program<\/a> is carried out in <strong>three stages<\/strong> of operation:<\/p>\n<p><strong>STAGE I<\/strong> (Until 06\/30\/2020): <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.polisabio.es\/index.php\/es\/expresiones-de-interes\">presentation of expressions of interest<\/a><\/strong> on the part of the participants, based on capacities and or unsolved technical problems for the search of possible partners.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0STAGE II<\/strong> (01\/07\/2020-15\/07\/2020): <a href=\"https:\/\/www.polisabio.es\/index.php\/es\/ayudas\"><strong>submission of applications<\/strong><\/a>. Initially, the program was developed jointly only between <strong>FISABIO<\/strong> and the Alcoi and Gandia Campuses, with the hospitals in their vicinity. As a result of the success of the prior edition, the 2018 program was extended to the Vera campus and to the rest of the <strong>FISABIO<\/strong> centers in the province of Valencia. In 2019 ,the budget increased and more healthcare centers in Valencia and Alicante were incorporated, thus expanding this call to the entire Valencian Community.<\/p>\n<p><strong><img loading=\"lazy\"
