On this occasion the event took place online due to the current Covid-19 situation. <strong>The main objective of this edition was to create opportunities for relationships to forge between the health, business and university sectors to determine the new healthcare needs in the Safor county and bring about joint RDI projects to find new business opportunities by way of methodologies based on open innovation and collaboration<\/strong>. <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.upv.es\/pls\/oalu\/sic_person.Info?p_alias=fracafe&amp;P_IDIOMA=i\">Francisco Camarena<\/a><\/strong>, research professor at the Universitat Polt\u00e8cnica de Val\u00e8ncia, ultrasound expert and director of the<a href=\"http:\/\/www.upv.es\/contenidos\/CATIVIO\/index-es.html\"> iViO-UPV Chair<\/a>, participated in this conference to explain the work carried out by the chair and to contribute to the different synergies between the research and business sector.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/DkC8ps3Vh2s\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The event was organized by the <a href=\"http:\/\/gandia.san.gva.es\/portada\">Gandia Health Departmen<\/a>t through the<a href=\"http:\/\/fisabio.san.gva.es\/en\/fisabio\"> Foundation for the Promotion of Health and Biomedical Research in the Valencian Community ((FISABIO<\/a>, for its Spanish initials), <a href=\"http:\/\/www.upv.es\/contenidos\/CGANDIA\/index-en.html\">Campus Gandia of the Universitat Polit\u00e8cnica de Val\u00e8ncia (UPV )<\/a>, and the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.faesafor.com\/es\/\">Federation of Safor Business Associations (FAES<\/a>, for its Spanish initials). The event was attended by <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.upv.es\/pls\/oalu\/sic_person.Info?p_alias=jlloret&amp;P_IDIOMA=i\">Jaime Lloret<\/a><\/strong> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.upv.es\/pls\/oalu\/sic_person.Info?p_alias=jtomas&amp;P_IDIOMA=i\"><strong>Jes\u00fas Tom\u00e1s<\/strong><\/a>, experts in medical applications of sensors and artificial intelligence; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.upv.es\/pls\/oalu\/sic_person.Info?p_alias=mocaic&amp;P_IDIOMA=i\"><strong>M\u00f3nica Catal\u00e1<\/strong><\/a>, expert in medical applications of analytical chemistry; <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.upv.es\/pls\/oalu\/sic_person.Info?p_alias=jjrieta&amp;P_IDIOMA=i\">Jos\u00e9 Joaqu\u00edn Rieta<\/a><\/strong>, expert in biomedical engineering; and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.upv.es\/pls\/oalu\/sic_person.Info?p_alias=fracafe&amp;P_IDIOMA=i\"><strong>Francisco Camarena<\/strong><\/a>, expert in medical applications of ultrasound and director of the iViO-UPV Chair.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-12309 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/ivio-upv-imagen-1-613x500.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"396\" height=\"323\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/ivio-upv-imagen-1-613x500.jpg 613w, https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/ivio-upv-imagen-1-307x250.jpg 307w, https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/ivio-upv-imagen-1-150x122.jpg 150w, https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/ivio-upv-imagen-1.jpg 640w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 396px) 100vw, 396px\" \/><strong>Camarena talked about the different research projects that have been carried out in the last few years as part of the iViO-UPV Chair<\/strong>. On the one hand, the development of a monitoring system for ultrasound-guided bone regeneration procedures for dental implants. And on the other hand, the development of an augmented reality device to assist the dentist in surgeries.<\/p>\n<p>Likewise, <strong>Professor Camarena<\/strong> presented some of the projects his research group is working on, such as the development of transcranial ultrasonic therapy techniques for the treatment of neurological pathologies, new modalities of elastographic imaging or innovations in the field of lithotripsy and in the treatment of central retinal obstruction.<\/p>\n<p>Finally, <strong>Camarena explained the two main present needs that would require business collaboration and which would be based on the licensing of the elastographic image patent and the lithotripsy patent<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The event allowed for the exchange of knowledge and synergies among its participants, awakening many common interests as a result of the capacities and the different proposals presented.
