Est\u00e0 promogut per la<strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usaid.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\">United States Agency for International Development<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0i el coordinador d\u2019aquest \u00e9s el prestigi\u00f3s professor <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.unesco-ihe.org\/michael-mcclain\">Michael McClain<\/a><\/strong>, amb una dilatada experi\u00e8ncia internacional en estudis relacionats amb l&#8217;aigua.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_4182\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-4182\" style=\"width: 630px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-4182\" src=\"https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/marinez-capel-michael-mcclain.jpg\" alt=\"Marinez-Capel \/ Michael McClain\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/marinez-capel-michael-mcclain.jpg 640w, https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/marinez-capel-michael-mcclain-333x250.jpg 333w, https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/marinez-capel-michael-mcclain-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/marinez-capel-michael-mcclain-150x113.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-4182\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Marinez-Capel \/ Michael McClain<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>L&#8217;objectiu final \u00e9s establir <strong>noves infraestructures i regadius<\/strong> en aquesta zona de Tanz\u00e0nia, de manera que es contribu\u00efsca al desenvolupament d&#8217;aquest pa\u00eds i a la seua seguretat aliment\u00e0ria, al mateix temps que es fa compatible amb la conservaci\u00f3 de la gran riquesa natural del pa\u00eds.<\/p>\n<p>L&#8217;equip de la <strong>Universitat Polit\u00e8cnica de Val\u00e8ncia<\/strong> ha jugat un paper important per a determinar <strong>els cabals ecol\u00f2gics en els rius<\/strong>, que han de mantenir l&#8217;elevada biodiversitat d&#8217;aquests ecosistemes. A\u00e7\u00f2 ha suposat diverses visites de camp per a estudiar els peixos tropicals, entrevistar a pescadors locals i compartir informaci\u00f3 amb els cient\u00edfics i t\u00e8cnics implicats en el treball, explica l&#8217;investigador Mart\u00ednez-Capel. Al costat de Mart\u00ednez- Capel, des del Campus de Gandia de la UPV han participat en el projecte els investigadors\u00a0<a width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>COORDINADOR DEL COMIT\u00c8 ECOHYDRAULICS<\/p>\n<p>D&#8217;altra banda, l&#8217;investigador Francisco Mart\u00ednez-Capel ha sigut nomenat enguany <strong>coordinador (Chair) del comit\u00e8 de Ecohydraulics de la <a href=\"https:\/\/www.iahr.org\/site\/cms\/contentChapterView.asp?chapter=1\" target=\"_blank\">IAHR<\/a><\/strong> (International Association for Hydro-Environment Engineering and Research), que realitza activitats de col\u00b7laboraci\u00f3 cient\u00edfica entre investigadors de cinc continents en aquest camp i que estudia principalment les relacions entre organismes aqu\u00e0tics i
