Malgrat la seua rellev\u00e0ncia ecol\u00f2gica, <strong>existeixen importants llacunes de coneixement<\/strong> sobre la seua distribuci\u00f3 en aig\u00fces espanyoles durant els mesos de <strong>tardor i hivern<\/strong>, un per\u00edode clau per a la seua reproducci\u00f3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-9-16 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Proteger al rorcual com\u00fan\" width=\"563\" height=\"1000\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/dRDzDuhIyec?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Amb l&#8217;objectiu de <strong>millorar el coneixement cient\u00edfic i donar suport a la gesti\u00f3 i conservaci\u00f3 d&#8217;aquesta esp\u00e8cie emblem\u00e0tica<\/strong>, la Universitat Polit\u00e8cnica de Val\u00e8ncia (UPV) i la Universidad de Sevilla han posat en marxa el <a href=\"https:\/\/fundacion-biodiversidad.es\/proyecto_feder\/misticetos-del-mediterraneo-distribucion-migracion-y-conservacion-del-rorcual-comun-balaenoptera-physalus-en-aguas-espanolas-mysticmed\/\">projecte <strong>MYSTICMED<\/strong><\/a>, que centra la seua investigaci\u00f3 en <strong>tres \u00e0rees estrat\u00e8giques<\/strong>: el sud de la demarcaci\u00f3 llevantina-balear, la <strong>mar d&#8217;Albor\u00e1n<\/strong> i les <strong>aig\u00fces atl\u00e0ntiques davant de Gal\u00edcia<\/strong>. Aquestes zones representen \u00e0rees potencialment cr\u00edtiques per al rorqual com\u00fa, per\u00f2 encara poc estudiades en les \u00e8poques no estivals. El projecte est\u00e0 liderat per l&#8217;investigador <a href=\"https:\/\/www.upv.es\/pls\/oalu\/sic_person.Info?p_alias=edbelpe&amp;P_IDIOMA=v\">Eduardo Belda<\/a>, expert del Campus de Gandia (UPV) en seguiment satel\u00b7litari d&#8217;esp\u00e8cies marines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"889\" height=\"500\" src=\"https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/Eduardo-889x500.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-26639\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/Eduardo-889x500.webp 889w, https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/Eduardo-444x250.webp 444w, https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/Eduardo-768x432.webp 768w, https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/Eduardo.webp 960w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 889px) 100vw, 889px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El projecte combinar\u00e0 <strong>t\u00e8cniques avan\u00e7ades de seguiment satel\u00b7litari<\/strong>, <strong>foto identificaci\u00f3 individual<\/strong> i <strong>modelitzaci\u00f3 ecol\u00f2gica<\/strong>, la qual cosa permetr\u00e0 con\u00e8ixer amb m\u00e9s precisi\u00f3 els patrons espacials de l&#8217;esp\u00e8cie i la seua relaci\u00f3 amb variables ambientals. Aquest sistema permetr\u00e0 desenvolupar <strong>alertes primerenques<\/strong> per a reduir el risc de <strong>col\u00b7lisions amb embarcacions<\/strong>, una de les principals amenaces per a l&#8217;esp\u00e8cie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"885\" height=\"500\" src=\"https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/Imagen-2-885x500.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-26655\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/Imagen-2-885x500.webp 885w, https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/Imagen-2-442x250.webp 442w, https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/Imagen-2-768x434.webp 768w, https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/Imagen-2-1536x868.webp 1536w, https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/Imagen-2-2048x1158.webp 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 885px) 100vw, 885px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cEls resultats del projecte permetran identificar <strong>zones cr\u00edtiques per a la conservaci\u00f3, avaluar com el canvi clim\u00e0tic pot alterar la distribuci\u00f3 del rorqual com\u00fa i generar informaci\u00f3 clau aplicable a la gesti\u00f3 marina, la planificaci\u00f3 espacial i les estrat\u00e8gies de conservaci\u00f3<\/strong>.
