Es tracta d&#8217;un resultat de la col\u00b7laboraci\u00f3 cient\u00edfica internacional KM3NeT, de la qual forma part l&#8217;Institut d&#8217;investigaci\u00f3 IGIC del Campus de Gandia de la Universitat Polit\u00e8cnica de Val\u00e8ncia i la Unitat Mixta amb l&#8217;Institut Espanyol d&#8217;Oceanografia.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span lang=\"ca-ES\">Fa dos anys des que el detector ARCA del telescopi submar\u00ed de neutrins KM3NeT va detectar en les profunditats marines un extraordinari esdeveniment associat a un neutr\u00ed d&#8217;una energia estimada en uns 220 PeV (220 x 1015 electr\u00f3-volts o 220 000 bilions d&#8217;electr\u00f3-volts).<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<div style=\"width: 1200px;\" class=\"wp-video\"><video class=\"wp-video-shortcode\" id=\"video-20636-1\" width=\"1200\" height=\"675\" preload=\"metadata\" controls=\"controls\"><source type=\"video\/mp4\" src=\"https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/02_Deployment_DetectionUnit_\u00a9KM3NeT.mp4?_=1\" \/><a href=\"https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/02_Deployment_DetectionUnit_\u00a9KM3NeT.mp4\">https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/02_Deployment_DetectionUnit_\u00a9KM3NeT.mp4<\/a><\/video><\/div>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span lang=\"ca-ES\">Aquest esdeveniment, batejat com KM3-230213A, \u00e9s el neutr\u00ed m\u00e9s energ\u00e8tic mai observat i proporciona la primera evid\u00e8ncia que neutrins d&#8217;energies tan altes es produeixen en l&#8217;Univers. Despr\u00e9s d&#8217;un llarg i meticul\u00f3s treball per a analitzar i interpretar les dades experimentals, el 12 de febrer de 2025, la col\u00b7laboraci\u00f3 cient\u00edfica internacional de KM3NeT &#8211; de la qual forma part un equip d&#8217;investigadors de l&#8217;Institut IGIC del campus de Gandia de la Universitat Polit\u00e8cnica de Val\u00e8ncia i la Unitat Mixta IEO-UPV de l&#8217;Institut Espanyol d&#8217;Oceanografia del CSIC i la UPV- ha publicat en Nature els detalls d&#8217;aquest sorprenent descobriment.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/2jgyZlBpkl8?si=jJCqrZRHQQXPEDai\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span lang=\"ca-ES\">L&#8217;equip del Campus de Gandia, liderat per <\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #0563c1;\"><u><a href=\"https:\/\/www.upv.es\/pls\/oalu\/sic_person.Info?p_alias=miarra1&amp;P_IDIOMA=v\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span lang=\"ca-ES\">Miguel Ardid<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/a><\/u><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span lang=\"ca-ES\">, participa en KM3NeT <\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #0563c1;\"><u><a href=\"https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/ca\/2015\/12\/el-campus-de-gandia-participa-en-la-construccio-del-major-telescopi-de-neutrins-del-mon\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span lang=\"ca-ES\">des dels seus inicis en 2006<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/a><\/u><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span lang=\"ca-ES\">, quan va comen\u00e7ar el disseny de la infraestructura i realitza R+D tant en el seu vessant tecnol\u00f2gic, principalment en els <\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span lang=\"ca-ES\"><b>sistemes ac\u00fastics i de posicionament del detector submar\u00ed com en les an\u00e0lisis de f\u00edsica d&#8217;astropart\u00edcules <\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span lang=\"ca-ES\">. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">\u201c<span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span lang=\"ca-ES\">Prev\u00e8iem que KM3NeT anava a realitzar descobriments de primer ordre, per\u00f2 no esper\u00e0vem que aquests vingueren tan prompte amb una configuraci\u00f3 parcial del detector. A m\u00e9s, es podria dir que hi ha hagut sort i en la UPV doble sort, perqu\u00e8 <\/span><span lang=\"ca-ES\"><b>just el neutr\u00ed ultra-energ\u00e8tic es va detectar durant el torn d&#8217;operaci\u00f3 del detector realitzat per la UPV<\/b><\/span><span lang=\"ca-ES\">\u201d, explica Ardit.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-20623 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/Foto-Miquel-Ardid_KM3Net-scaled.webp\" alt=\"Miquel Ardid\" width=\"2560\" height=\"1440\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/Foto-Miquel-Ardid_KM3Net-scaled.webp 2560w, https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/Foto-Miquel-Ardid_KM3Net-444x250.webp 444w, https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/Foto-Miquel-Ardid_KM3Net-889x500.webp 889w, https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/Foto-Miquel-Ardid_KM3Net-768x432.webp 768w, https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/Foto-Miquel-Ardid_KM3Net-1536x864.webp 1536w, https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/Foto-Miquel-Ardid_KM3Net-2048x1152.webp 2048w, https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/Foto-Miquel-Ardid_KM3Net-150x84.webp 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 2560px) 100vw, 2560px\" \/><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span lang=\"ca-ES\">Per part seua, Paschal Coyle, portaveu de KM3NeT en el moment de la detecci\u00f3 i investigador de l&#8217;IN2P3\/CNRS Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique \u2013 Centre de Physique des Particules de Marseille (Fran\u00e7a) destaca que KM3NeT ha comen\u00e7at a explorar un rang d&#8217;energia i sensibilitat on els neutrins detectats poden ser produ\u00efts en fen\u00f2mens astrof\u00edsics extrems. \u201cAquesta primera detecci\u00f3 d&#8217;un neutr\u00ed de centenars de PeV <\/span><span lang=\"ca-ES\"><b>obri un nou cap\u00edtol en l&#8217;astronomia de neutrins i una nova finestra d&#8217;observaci\u00f3 de l&#8217;Univers<\/b><\/span><span lang=\"ca-ES\">\u201d, subratlla.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span lang=\"ca-ES\">Forats negres, supernoves i esclats de raigs gamma<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span lang=\"ca-ES\">L&#8217;Univers d&#8217;alta energia \u00e9s el regne d&#8217;esdeveniments colossals com els forats negres supermassius en el centre d&#8217;algunes gal\u00e0xies, les explosions de supernoves i els esclats de raigs gamma, successos que encara no es comprenen completament. Aquests poderosos acceleradors c\u00f2smics generen fluxos de part\u00edcules anomenades raigs c\u00f2smics. Alguns raigs c\u00f2smics poden interaccionar amb la mat\u00e8ria o els fotons de voltant produint neutrins i fotons. Durant el viatge a trav\u00e9s de l&#8217;Univers dels raigs c\u00f2smics m\u00e9s energ\u00e8tics, alguns poden tamb\u00e9 interaccionar amb els fotons de la radiaci\u00f3 de fons de microones per a produir neutrins extremadament energ\u00e8tics anomenats \u201ccosmog\u00e8nics\u201d.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<div style=\"width: 1200px;\" class=\"wp-video\"><video class=\"wp-video-shortcode\" id=\"video-20636-2\" width=\"1200\" height=\"675\" preload=\"metadata\" controls=\"controls\"><source type=\"video\/mp4\" src=\"https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/KM3-230213A_Subtitles_\u00a9KM3NeT.mp4?_=2\" \/><a href=\"https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/KM3-230213A_Subtitles_\u00a9KM3NeT.mp4\">https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/KM3-230213A_Subtitles_\u00a9KM3NeT.mp4<\/a><\/video><\/div>\n<p align=\"justify\">\u201c<span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span lang=\"ca-ES\">L&#8217;escala de KM3NeT, que eventualment abastar\u00e0 un volum d&#8217;aproximadament un quil\u00f2metre c\u00fabic amb uns 200 000 fotomultiplicadors en total, juntament amb la seua ubicaci\u00f3 extrema en les profunditats de la mar Mediterr\u00e0nia, mostra els esfor\u00e7os extraordinaris necessaris per a avan\u00e7ar en l&#8217;astronomia de neutrins i la f\u00edsica de part\u00edcules. A Espanya participen, a m\u00e9s de l&#8217;IGIC de la Universititat Polit\u00e8cnica de Val\u00e8ncia, IFIC (Institut de F\u00edsica Corpuscular, centre mixt de la Universitat de Val\u00e8ncia i el CSIC), la Universitat de Granada, la Unitat Mixta IEO-UPV de l&#8217;Institut Espanyol d&#8217;Oceanografia del CSIC i la UPV i el LAB de la Universitat Polit\u00e8cnica de Catalunya.
