La revista Electro Optics, una de les publicacions de major impacte internacional en el sector, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.upv.es\/pls\/oalu\/sic_person.Info?p_alias=ivgames&amp;P_IDIOMA=v\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">la inclo\u00efa en l&#8217;\u00faltima edici\u00f3 del The Photonics100<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Aquest r\u00e0nquing destaca cada any a les cent persones de refer\u00e8ncia mundial de l&#8217;\u00e0mbit cient\u00edfic i de l&#8217;enginyeria i a l\u00edders empresarials el treball dels quals contribueix a transformar sectors com l&#8217;aeroespacial, les telecomunicacions i les tecnologies qu\u00e0ntiques, entre altres. I entre elles, es troba Ivana Gasulla.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sobre el premi, Ivana assegura que estar en aquest llistat de ThePhotonics100 suposa un <strong>valu\u00f3s reconeixement a la tasca investigadora<\/strong> que, des del seu grup, duen a terme en dos camps de gran rellev\u00e0ncia: <strong>les fibres \u00f2ptiques amb multiplexaci\u00f3 espacial i la fot\u00f2nica programable<\/strong>. \u201cM\u00e9s enll\u00e0 d&#8217;un simple assoliment personal, aquesta distinci\u00f3 ressalta l&#8217;esfor\u00e7 col\u00b7lectiu d&#8217;un equip excepcional d&#8217;investigadors que m&#8217;acompanyen en els PhotonicsResearch Labs de l&#8217;institut iTEAM i en la spin-off de la UPV iPronics Programmable Photonics\u201d, afig.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"750\" height=\"500\" src=\"https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/Foto-1-750x500.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-20087\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/Foto-1-750x500.webp 750w, https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/Foto-1-375x250.webp 375w, https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/Foto-1-768x512.webp 768w, https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/Foto-1-1536x1024.webp 1536w, https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/Foto-1-2048x1366.webp 2048w, https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/Foto-1-150x100.webp 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 750px) 100vw, 750px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El seu dia a dia -com el de tantes persones de la prov\u00edncia de Val\u00e8ncia- va canviar radicalment a penes unes hores despr\u00e9s del seu reconeixement. Ivana Gasulla \u00e9s de Benet\u00fasser; all\u00ed viu des que va n\u00e0ixer. I all\u00ed continua treballant per recuperar la normalitat del seu poble i de la seua investigaci\u00f3. Els circuits fot\u00f2nics, la fibra \u00f2ptica, les hores d&#8217;estudi, de reflexi\u00f3 per a publicar el seu pr\u00f2xim paper van ser substitu\u00efts per pales, cabassos, botes d&#8217;aigua i moltes hores de traure aigua, llot, mobles\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\u201cTecnologia fot\u00f2nica per a prevenir desastres com aquest\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cEn un dia, les nostres vides van canviar com mai pod\u00edem haver arribat a imaginar. Estan sent unes setmanes de molt de contrast, en les quals, \u00f2bviament, el primer \u00e9s el primer. A poc a poc tractem de tornar a la normalitat, per\u00f2 sent conscients que queden per davant mesos de treball i solidaritat per a intentar que les zones afectades recuperen la vida que es va truncar un 29 d&#8217;octubre. Observant al nostre voltant els milers de comer\u00e7os i petites empreses valencianes que, probablement, no tornaran a al\u00e7ar cap, em sent una afortunada perqu\u00e8 el nostre treball en la UPV s\u00ed que podr\u00e0 seguir avant. \u00c9s m\u00e9s, aquesta trag\u00e8dia em porta a reflexionar sobre <strong>com la nostra investigaci\u00f3 en tecnologies fot\u00f2niques pot ajudar<\/strong>, en primer lloc, a prevenir desastres d&#8217;aquest estil, per exemple, mitjan\u00e7ant sistemes de fibra \u00f2ptica per a monitorar l&#8217;estat d&#8217;infraestructures civils o cabals de rius i, en segon lloc, a reconstruir els sistemes de telecomunicacions danyats i donar servei de manera extraordin\u00e0ria a les \u00e0rees danyades\u201d, reflexiona Ivana Gasulla.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"333\" height=\"500\" src=\"https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/Foto-2-333x500.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-20090\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/Foto-2-333x500.webp 333w, https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/Foto-2-167x250.webp 167w, https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/Foto-2-768x1152.webp 768w, https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/Foto-2-1024x1536.webp 1024w, https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/Foto-2-1366x2048.webp 1366w, https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/Foto-2-100x150.webp 100w, https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/Foto-2.webp 1667w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 333px) 100vw, 333px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Investigaci\u00f3 clau per als centres de dades d\u2019IA<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A curt i mitj\u00e0 termini, Ivana assegura que els seus reptes se centren a avan\u00e7ar en la integraci\u00f3 i paral\u00b7lelitzaci\u00f3 de sistemes, tant en l&#8217;\u00e0mbit de les xarxes de distribuci\u00f3 de noves fibres \u00f2ptiques com en el processament de senyal mitjan\u00e7ant fot\u00f2nica programable integrada. \u201cLa nostra investigaci\u00f3 abasta una \u00e0mplia varietat de sectors i, <strong>en l&#8217;escenari actual, resulta d&#8217;especial rellev\u00e0ncia per a les infraestructures de centres de dades i servidors que sustenten la intel\u00b7lig\u00e8ncia artificial<\/strong>. La seua investigaci\u00f3 se centra, principalment, en el processament de senyals de microones i \u00f2ptiques juntament amb innovadores arquitectures de fibres \u00f2ptiques multinucli i de pocs nodes. Compta amb m\u00e9s de 150 publicacions internacionals, moltes d&#8217;elles en revistes d&#8217;alt impacte com Nature Communications i Nature Photonics. Va ser reconeguda amb una de les prestigioses beques Consolidator Grant del Consell Europeu d&#8217;Investigaci\u00f3. I, actualment, \u00e9s vicedirectora econ\u00f2mica de l&#8217;Institut d&#8217;Investigaci\u00f3 iTEAM i Editora S\u00e8nior per al IEEE Journal of Selected Topics in Qu\u00e0ntum Electronics, entre altres c\u00e0rrecs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">En la seua faceta emprenedora, \u00e9s cofundadora de la spin-off de la UPV, iPronics Programmable Photonics, que l\u2019any 2020 va
