La seua detecci\u00f3 no \u00e9s senzilla i requereix d&#8217;un volum instrumental enorme. La detecci\u00f3 de neutrins permetr\u00e0, d&#8217;una banda, <strong>complementar els telescopis convencionals<\/strong> i \u00a0estudiar els fen\u00f2mens m\u00e9s extrems de l&#8217;Univers a trav\u00e9s d&#8217;aquests <strong>\u201cmissatgers\u201d<\/strong>, i d&#8217;altra banda, <strong>estudiar les propietats fonamentals d&#8217;aquestes part\u00edcules<\/strong>, crucials per a entendre les teories f\u00edsiques m\u00e9s modernes.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cS\u2019han instal\u00b7lat cinc l\u00ednies de detecci\u00f3 i el node de connexi\u00f3, a trav\u00e9s del qual se&#8217;ls subministra energia i es transmeten les dades\u201d. Entre la instrumentaci\u00f3 desplegada, \u201cs&#8217;han empla\u00e7at <strong>tres emissors ac\u00fastics del sistema de posicionament<\/strong>, dissenyats en la UPV i constru\u00efts en col\u00b7laboraci\u00f3 amb l&#8217;empresa valenciana Mediterrani Senyals Mar\u00edtims\u201d, ha explicat l&#8217;investigador del campus i expert en neutrins<strong>, <\/strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.upv.es\/pls\/oalu\/sic_person.Info?p_alias=miarra1&amp;P_IDIOMA=v\"><strong>Miquel Ardit<\/strong><\/a>. Per a qui \u201cl&#8217;\u00e8xit d&#8217;aquesta campanya demostra la capacitat tecnol\u00f2gica del KM3NeT en el desplegament r\u00e0pid de l\u00ednies i per a completar el detector durant els pr\u00f2xims anys\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/iVx_WKXtgt4\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>SOBRE KM3NeT.<\/p>\n<p>Situat en el mar Mediterrani a una profunditat de 3.500 metres i a uns 80 quil\u00f2metres de la costa de Cape Passero, a Sic\u00edlia, el telescopi ARCA -al costat d&#8217;ORCA , situat enfront de la costa de Tol\u00f3n, a Fran\u00e7a- permetr\u00e0 al personal cient\u00edfic implicat identificar fonts astrof\u00edsiques de neutrins d&#8217;alta energia, aix\u00ed com estudiar les seues propietats. Segons Ardit, \u201camb aquest pas <strong>s&#8217;ha constitu\u00eft l&#8217;embri\u00f3 del que ser\u00e0 un gran observatori d&#8217;astrof\u00edsica, f\u00edsica fonamental i ci\u00e8ncies del mar amb enorme potencial cient\u00edfic<\/strong>\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Una vegada finalitzada la construcci\u00f3, el detector KM3NeT\/ARCA formar\u00e0 una xarxa de m\u00e9s de dues-centes unitats de detecci\u00f3. Cadascuna d&#8217;aquestes unitats, consistent en una l\u00ednia vertical de 700 metres d&#8217;altura alberga 18 m\u00f2duls equipats amb detectors de llum ultrasensible que registren els febles <em>flaixos <\/em>de llum generats en <strong>les interaccions dels neutrins en les profunditats del mar Mediterrani<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>En l&#8217;actualitat, <strong>sis l\u00ednies de detecci\u00f3 operen en el que es considera el nucli inicial del telescopi de neutrins KM3NeT\/ARCA<\/strong>. Juntament amb les sis l\u00ednies ja instal\u00b7lades i prenent dades en l&#8217;empla\u00e7ament d&#8217;ORCA, l&#8217;observatori KM3NeT t\u00e9 ara una sensibilitat comparable a la del seu predecessor, el telescopi de neutrins <strong>ANTARES<\/strong>. \u201c\u00c9s el primer telescopi submar\u00ed de neutrins. Les seues 12 l\u00ednies porten operant m\u00e9s d&#8217;una d\u00e8cada en les profunditats del Mediterrani demostrant la viabilitat de la t\u00e8cnica i obrint una nova finestra a l&#8217;univers a trav\u00e9s de la detecci\u00f3 de neutrins. Hi col\u00b7laboren m\u00e9s de 250 cient\u00edfics de m\u00e9s de 50 instituts cient\u00edfics de tot el m\u00f3n, i el grup d&#8217;investigaci\u00f3 del <strong>Campus de Gandia<\/strong>\u00a0 ha tingut <strong>un paper important<\/strong> en la construcci\u00f3 del telescopi \u201camb <strong>responsabilitat en el sistema de calibratge de posicionament ac\u00fastic i mitjan\u00e7ant sensors d&#8217;orientaci\u00f3<\/strong>. Tamb\u00e9 col\u00b7labora en<strong> l&#8217;an\u00e0lisi de dades del detector<\/strong>, sobretot en els estudis de recerca de mat\u00e8ria fosca. Al seu torn, a trav\u00e9s de la unitat mixta UPV-Institut Espanyol d&#8217;Oceanografia (IEO) es realitzen estudis de monitoratge ac\u00fastic del medi mar\u00ed\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>A m\u00e9s de la UPV i l&#8217;IEO, en l\u2019\u00e0mbit nacional tamb\u00e9 participen en el projecte l&#8217;Institut de F\u00edsica Corpuscular, la Universitat de Granada i l&#8217;Institut de Ci\u00e8ncies del
