{"id":14036,"date":"2021-05-04T21:04:14","date_gmt":"2021-05-04T19:04:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/?p=14036"},"modified":"2021-05-04T21:04:10","modified_gmt":"2021-05-04T19:04:10","slug":"innovadors-interferometres-ultra-compactes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/ca\/2021\/05\/innovadors-interferometres-ultra-compactes\/","title":{"rendered":"Innovadors interfer\u00f2metres ultra compactes"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Personal investigador liderat per <a href=\"https:\/\/www.upv.es\/pls\/oalu\/sic_person.Info?p_alias=JAIGARRU&amp;P_IDIOMA=v\"><strong>Jaime Garc\u00eda Rup\u00e9rez<\/strong><\/a> del <a href=\"http:\/\/www.upv.es\/contenidos\/CGANDIA\/index-va.html\">Campus de Gandia de la Universitat Polit\u00e8cnica de Val\u00e8ncia\u00a0 <\/a>ha desenvolupat una nova configuraci\u00f3 d&#8217;estructura fot\u00f2nica: uns<strong> innovadors interfer\u00f2metres <\/strong>ultra compactes que poden integrar-se en un xip de redu\u00efdes dimensions, per al desenvolupament de sistemes \u00f2ptics com sensors, moduladors o commutadors.<\/p>\n<p>L&#8217;\u00fas d&#8217;aquests nous interfer\u00f2metres s&#8217;est\u00e9n a qualsevol \u00e0mbit d&#8217;aplicaci\u00f3 de la fot\u00f2nica integrada, com per exemple la biomedicina, concretament en el desenvolupament de <strong>dispositius\u00a0 <em>lab on a chip<\/em> (LOC)<\/strong><strong>, <\/strong>utilitzats per a detectar <strong>preco\u00e7ment components biol\u00f2gics relacionats amb certes malalties<\/strong>, sense necessitat de personal qualificat. Els nous interfer\u00f2metres tamb\u00e9 es podrien utilitzar en<strong> sistemes on-chip m\u00e9s potents, per a la transmissi\u00f3 i encaminament de gran quantitat de dades en xarxes com la 5G.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>INNOVACI\u00d3 DE REFER\u00c8NCIA<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Aquests innovadors interfer\u00f2metres ultra compactes utilitzen el fenomen denominat d&#8217;ona lenta per a millorar la seua sensibilitat. La innovaci\u00f3, demostrada per primera vegada, s&#8217;ha publicat en una de les revistes cient\u00edfiques internacionals m\u00e9s rellevants en l&#8217;\u00e0mbit de l&#8217;\u00f2ptica: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nature.com\/lsa\/\"><strong><em>Light: Science and Applications<\/em>,<\/strong><\/a> del grup Nature, en l&#8217;article <strong>\u201c<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nature.com\/articles\/s41377-020-00460-y\"><strong>Slow light bimodal interferometry in one-dimensional photonic crystal waveguides\u201d.<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.upv.es\/pls\/oalu\/sic_person.info?PE=K5MRNhA8C7gm2AaiRbad4GuVxe4FKrdv8yLXS9CGkO%2F0i7lVQyCjFXaFOtRc0p0zzESFwY2Ua8hW%2FP0lsgPW4fKGSDEH2ITn3GMIHEnHME9X9GB1DLNoZg%3D%3D&amp;P_IDIOMA=v&amp;P_VISTA=normal\">Luis Torrijos<\/a><\/strong>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.upv.es\/pls\/oalu\/sic_person.info?PE=K5MRNhA8C7gm2AaiRbad4IYHmepC35XjQKsYs3gRXxD0i7lVQyCjFXaFOtRc0p0zT4835jE0xObOD978EuW7Gs4bM%2FW%2F4HfcfqRsi885nDUWZkbWLaJz1A%3D%3D&amp;P_IDIOMA=v&amp;P_VISTA=normal\"><strong>Amadeu Griol<\/strong><\/a> i<strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.upv.es\/pls\/oalu\/sic_person.Info?p_alias=JAIGARRU&amp;P_IDIOMA=v\">Jaime Garc\u00eda Rup\u00e9rez<\/a><\/strong> s\u00f3n els autors de la investigaci\u00f3, que \u00e9s un dels resultats de la <strong>tesi doctoral<\/strong> que est\u00e0 finalitzant Luis Torrijos sota la direcci\u00f3 de Garc\u00eda Rup\u00e9rez, docent i investigador del Campus de Gandia. El disseny d&#8217;estructures \u00f2ptiques integrades com els interfer\u00f2metres, a escales nanom\u00e8triques (1 mili\u00f3 de vegades m\u00e9s xicoteta que el gruix del cabell hum\u00e0), presenta grans dificultats, ja que la longitud de l&#8217;interfer\u00f2metre \u00e9s clau per a la seua capacitat de mesurament, segons explica l&#8217;investigador Luis Torrijos.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cUn interfer\u00f2metre cl\u00e0ssic divideix un feix de llum en dos camins \u00f2ptics o guies d&#8217;ona diferents per a despr\u00e9s tornar a recombinar-ho. Com m\u00e9s gran \u00e9s la difer\u00e8ncia de longitud entre els dos camins, m\u00e9s informaci\u00f3 i, per tant, m\u00e9s sensible \u00e9s l&#8217;interfer\u00f2metre. <strong>La nostra innovaci\u00f3 consisteix a utilitzar una guia de cristall fot\u00f2nic unidimensional<\/strong>, \u00e9s a dir, una estructura amb una periodicitat comparable a la longitud d&#8217;ona de la llum de propagaci\u00f3, que suporta dos tipus de llum, un amb una velocitat molt redu\u00efda en comparaci\u00f3 amb l&#8217;altre. D&#8217;aquesta forma aconseguim un desfasament considerable sense augmentar la longitud del cam\u00ed f\u00edsic de l&#8217;interfer\u00f2metre, la qual cosa suposa una <strong>reducci\u00f3 notable en la grand\u00e0ria final del dispositiu<\/strong>\u201d, continua Torrijos.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-14031\" bimodals basades en guies normals, de manera que es va pensar en l&#8217;opci\u00f3 que el comportament d&#8217;ona lenta present en els cristalls fot\u00f2nics poguera millorar encara m\u00e9s
