El seu treball ha estat publicat en la revista cient\u00edfica <em>\u201cForest Ecology and Management\u201d.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>L&#8217;estudi parteix de la realitat que <strong>les reserves de carboni org\u00e0nic del s\u00f2l tenen un paper important en el manteniment dels ecosistemes<\/strong>, com a font de nutrients i energia per als microorganismes del s\u00f2l, els quals tenen un paper essencial en el cicle de nutrients.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLes propietats biol\u00f2giques i bioqu\u00edmiques del s\u00f2l s\u00f3n essencials per a la descomposici\u00f3 de la mat\u00e8ria org\u00e0nica. No obstant aix\u00f2, <strong>aquestes propietats poden veure&#8217;s afectades pel tractament forestal<\/strong> que es considera sostenible quan les propietats del s\u00f2l es mantenen o milloren\u201d, explica la coautora de l&#8217;estudi, <strong>Cristina Lull<\/strong> del Campus de Gandia.<\/p>\n<p>Per aquest motiu, la investigaci\u00f3 ha avaluat els efectes de la gesti\u00f3 forestal adaptativa sobre diferents propietats del s\u00f2l.<\/p>\n<p><strong>INVESTIGACI\u00d3 DESENVOLUPADA I RESULTATS <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>L&#8217;estudi s&#8217;ha <strong>desenvolupat en un bosc semi\u00e0rid marginal localitzat en la muntanya p\u00fablica <em>\u201cLa Hunde<\/em><\/strong><em>\u201d,<\/em> catalogat com \u201cun dels pocs boscos d&#8217;alzines ben conservats de la Comunitat Valenciana i el m\u00e9s gran de la prov\u00edncia de Val\u00e8ncia\u201d, afirma la professora.<\/p>\n<p>La investigaci\u00f3 va consistir a analitzar <strong>l&#8217;efecte d&#8217;un tractament silv\u00edcola<\/strong> sobre les propietats del s\u00f2l mineral i del mantell relacionades amb el cicle del carboni i sobre l&#8217;activitat enzim\u00e0tica del s\u00f2l.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-12585 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/parcela-no-tratada-control-hunde-2-estudio-upv-gandia.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"437\" height=\"328\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/parcela-no-tratada-control-hunde-2-estudio-upv-gandia.jpg 640w, https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/parcela-no-tratada-control-hunde-2-estudio-upv-gandia-333x250.jpg 333w, https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/parcela-no-tratada-control-hunde-2-estudio-upv-gandia-150x113.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 437px) 100vw, 437px\" \/>D&#8217;aquesta forma, <strong>una vegada es van obtenir les dades, aquestes es van comparar amb una \u00e0rea no gestionada durant un per\u00edode que ha oscil\u00b7lat entre cinc mesos i set anys<\/strong> despr\u00e9s del tractament silv\u00edcola. Concretament, l&#8217;\u00e0rea no tractada t\u00e9 una alta densitat d&#8217;alzines (1059 peus\/ha) i en la tractada es va reduir a 289 peus\/ha a m\u00e9s d&#8217;eliminar la massa arbustiva.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEn una <strong>primera etapa<\/strong>, en la parcel\u00b7la tractada <strong>detectem en el s\u00f2l mineral un lleuger major contingut de carboni org\u00e0nic<\/strong> del s\u00f2l i carboni org\u00e0nic soluble en aigua probablement a causa de les restes de la tala de menor grand\u00e0ria que es van deixar en la parcel\u00b7la tractada en fer el tractament silv\u00edcola. No obstant aix\u00f2, <strong>set anys despr\u00e9s del tractament, es va observar que aquest no afectava el carboni del s\u00f2l<\/strong>, tampoc la respiraci\u00f3 del s\u00f2l mesurada mitjan\u00e7ant incubacions en laboratori ni a les activitats enzim\u00e0tiques, en concret ni a l&#8217;activitat fosfatasa del cicle del f\u00f2sfor ni a la ureasa del cicle del nitrogen, donant suport a la sostenibilitat d&#8217;aquest tipus de gesti\u00f3 del bosc\u201d, ressalta la investigadora.<\/p>\n<p>Per tot aix\u00f2, posa en valor la tasca que ha estat desenvolupant durant l&#8217;\u00faltima d\u00e8cada <strong>el grup de <\/strong><em>Ci\u00e8ncia i Tecnologia Forestal\u00a0<strong>(Re-ForeST)<\/strong><\/em>, amb <strong>diferents estudis i projectes<\/strong> d&#8217;investigaci\u00f3 que cerquen <strong>millorar la resili\u00e8ncia dels boscos<\/strong> semi\u00e0rids al canvi clim\u00e0tic.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAquest estudi es complementa amb <a href=\"https:\/\/cienciagandia.webs.upv.es\/2018\/02\/la-silvicultura-base-ecohidrologica-idonea-la-gestion-forestal-la-zona-mediterranea\/\">altres duts a terme<\/a> pel <em>grup Re-foreST<\/em> en la mateixa zona relacionats amb la caracteritzaci\u00f3 hidrol\u00f2gica de l&#8217;estructura forestal per a la implementaci\u00f3 d&#8217;una silvicultura adaptativa i amb l&#8217;estudi de mesures forestals de base eco-hidrol\u00f2gica per a l&#8217;adaptaci\u00f3 al canvi clim\u00e0tic. Tot aix\u00f2 amb una finalitat: <strong>promoure pr\u00e0ctiques que milloren l&#8217;adaptaci\u00f3 i conservaci\u00f3 dels nostres boscos<\/strong>\u201d, conclou Cristina Lull.<\/p>\n<p>M\u00e9s
